Who is this course for?

Exclusively for children aged 6 to 12 years who have no or limited contact with the Greek language

What you will learn in this course

In this level students interact orally and in writing form, by giving small presentations to familiar topics regarding their personal life, such as school, friends, housing, hobbies, etc. and communicate in short dialogues or by playing short role-plays. They can also understand basic information from a short dialogue on familiar topics. They can use a thematic vocabulary and they are able to produce written, short (80 words), teacher-directed paragraphs, describing topics they are familiar with, even though they may still make grammatical errors.

How much time will I spend per week?

The student will spend an average of 4-5 hours per week. This will include Language classes as well as other related cultural activities that will reinforce the Greek Language.

When does the course start and when is expected to be completed

The Fall Semester starts in September and ends shortly before Christmas. The Winter/Spring Semester starts in January and ends in May. For exact dates please see the Calendar.

What are the prerequisites for this course?

Level A1 is introductory. There is no prerequisite but good mood and work appetite.

When will the exams be performed and how much will the costs be?

Typically, the exams are in May. The actual dates and fees of the exams are announced by the Greek Language Center in early Spring.
