Greek Language & Culture for Kids 11-12

Who is this course for?

The course is aimed at children from 11 to 12 years old who are interested in learning the Greek Language as well as participating in other course related activities.

What you will learn in this course

Students start to produce oral and written small texts (notes, messages and dialogues) on very familiar topics with teachers’ help. They will be able to use more fluent vocabulary related to everyday life. They can handle short social interactions in everyday situations and start describing with teacher’s help objects and pictures using familiar vocabulary.

How much time will I spend per week?

The student will spend an average of 4-5 hours per week. Greek Language will be offered twice a week for a period of 1 ½ hours. The Greek Language class will be supplemented by other activities such as but not limited to dance, arts and crafts and a reading program. 

When does the course start and when is expected to be completed

Our Academic Year Starts The Last Week Of September and consists of 27-28 weeks. For exact dates please see the Calendar.

What are the prerequisites for this course?

There are no prerequisites for this course except good mood and a desire to learn.

Will there be an exam or some certification?

No. There are no exams in this course. Greek School Online will provide at the end of the course a certificate of successful attendance. Caution! If you wish to obtain a language proficiency certification from the Greek Language Center, look for the Ellinomatheia courses we offer
